Water for All International

Water for All International is sponsored by Southland Baptist Church of San Angelo, TX.  However, all monetary support for their ministry comes through the designated gifts of church members and through a special offering during the Christmas season.  Water for All also receives support from Hendricks Ave. Baptist of Jacksonville Florida, World Concern Bolivia, Baptist in Bolivia and other caring churches and individuals.

WFA is Christian development program in Bolivia teaching the poor to drill their own deep water wells headed by Southland Baptist’s Staff Missionary, Terry Waller (Email).  Terry receives around a half dozen new requests for wells every week. For a more detailed look at the well drilling technology, please visit Terry’s Bolivia website.

As of the end of 2006, Water for All had drilled wells in the following countries:WallerFamily

  • Bolivia—1,800-2,000 wells
  • Nicaragua—62 wells
  • Sri Lanka—88 wells
  • Cameroon—12 wells
  • Kenya—5 wells
  • Ethiopia—4 wells
  • Chiapas, Mexico—1 well

Water for All now in Ethiopia

ethiopiaIn an exciting expansion of Terry and Kathy’s ministry, Water for All  has recently established a permanent presence in Ethiopia. WFA associate Joe Stocker has been in Ethiopia and has already partnered with the Blair Foundation to help them drill 1000 new wells for 1000 different churches. There is a real excitement in this new project and one can’t help but sense God moving in a mighty way.

Joe, who worked with Terry in Bolivia, will conduct the Water for All  ministry in Ethiopia in a very similar fashion to the Bolivia efforts. He is currently in the process of making a partnership with the “Addis Kidan” Baptist denomination, a indigenous Baptist group. The WTA template is simple. Joe will live in a small town and develop relationships and empower families to have more water and farm better. As always, he will share the gospel through the local Christian community and local churches.

Ethiopia JoeTerry is very excited about the possibilities in Ethiopia as well as a partnership he has formed with the Baptist General Convention of Texas’ Go-now missionaries. Starting this summer, Terry will have at least one recent college graduate training with him for about three months and then will send the student “on location” to Ethiopia or some other place to teach Terry’s well drilling technique to others. This partnership may very well be one of the ways Terry keeps pace with the countless requests for training and wells he receives every week (sometimes as many as six new requests a week).

Please pray for Terry in Bolivia, and Joe in Ethiopia (Email) as they continue to bring “Living Water” to all God puts in their paths.

Hope Bolivia

Kathy, through her Hope+Bolivia project has helped some of the poorest women of her community establish lasting economic resources through the production of hand painted ties and scarves.

Kathy’s work developing a cottage industry (hand painted scarves) for some of the poorest women in Bolivia is also becoming a model for missions in other parts of the world.
