Maker Fall Fest (October 29)
Try something new this fall and give your kids much more than a sugar rush... Join us on October 29 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm for Maker Fest! At Maker Fest, families tinker, invent, doodle, and create together! At each idea-sparking station, they’ll have a blast as they learn how their creative Master Maker made them for a unique purpose. Kids need encouraging messages of truth and love to shape their identity. Maker Fest helps them discover they’re God’s masterpiece! This event is for the whole community and will include games, crafts, food, music, and more! We also encourage kids to wear their costumes.
Trunk or Treat (October 31)
Trunk or Treat will take place on Tuesday, October 31 at 5:30 pm in the church parking lot. Stop by in your Halloween costume for some trick-or-treating in a safe environment!
What is Bridge 56?
Bridge 56 is a ministry here at Southland that was created just for our 5th and 6th graders. We realize that this is a very crucial age for our preteens because they are transitioning from being a child to being a teenager. Oftentimes the fifth and sixth graders feel misplaced in a youth group or children's ministry. We believe it is important to create a safe, fun, and engaging place for our fifth and sixth graders to bridge the gap between our children's ministry and our youth ministry. We want them to have their own individual identity where they can solidify their beliefs in Jesus and foster spiritual growth and leadership skills. We also want to walk alongside parents as they navigate this transitional stage.
